Temporary Closure and Reopening Plans as Capital Improvement Project Advances to Next Phase

The YMCA will temporarily close June 19–24 as the organization transitions into the next phase of its capital improvement project. This brief closure will provide time to prepare the facility for reopening while supporting continued progress on improvements designed to better serve members and the community for years to come.

The YMCA will reopen to members and the community on June 25, marking an exciting milestone in the ongoing transformation of the facility. While construction will continue in future phases, members will begin to experience several updates and improvements immediately upon reopening.

Beginning June 25:

• Members and guests should use the new parking lot on the west side.
• All visitors should enter through the new entrance and lobby area and follow posted directional signage.
• Construction activity will continue in designated areas as work progresses through future phases of the project.

These updates represent an important step forward in improving accessibility, flow, and the overall member experience while maintaining operations throughout the remaining phases of construction.

One important update for members is that the fitness center will remain open throughout construction. During this phase, fitness equipment will be temporarily relocated to the lower level of the facility. This temporary fitness center will remain in use until completion of Phase Four in Winter 2027, when the permanent upper-level Fitness Center and Youth Center are scheduled to open.

The YMCA remains committed to minimizing disruption wherever possible and ensuring members continue to have access to health and wellness opportunities throughout the duration of the project.

The YMCA’s capital improvement project will continue with the following anticipated milestones:

• Phase Three Completion: Gymnasium — Fall 2026
• Phase Four Completion: Upper-Level Fitness Center & Youth Center — Winter 2027

Upon completion, the project will deliver expanded and updated spaces designed to support wellness, youth development, recreation, and community connection for future generations.

These improvements represent an exciting investment in the future of our YMCA and the members and communities we serve. We appreciate everyone’s patience, flexibility, and continued support throughout construction. Members are encouraged to follow YMCA communication channels for additional updates and information as construction continues.
