YMCA/Valmont Youth Soccer League

With the continuous wintery conditions, the start of the YMCA soccer league has been pushed back to Saturday, March 23rd. Registrations are still being accepted for the youth soccer league, which is open to kindergartners (plus those turning 5 by March 9) through eighth grade.

Games for K, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th are scheduled to be played on Saturday mornings although weeknight games may be scheduled.

5th-8th grade are planned for Thursday evenings

The fee is $25 for members; $55 for non-members.

Partners with Youth Fund-Drive: Wednesday, Feb. 20

Thank you to the volunteers who made dozens of calls Wednesday, Feb. 20 for the  annual Partners with Youth fund-drive. And thank you to everyone who make a pledge or donation to the Partners With Youth, which provides financial assistance to those in need to cover youth sports fee, Live Y'ers costs and memberships.

All donations remain local, benefiting both individuals and families, as scholarships for youth sports, Live Y'ers, and memberships.

PWY Indoor Sprint Triathlon, Sunday, Feb. 24

Thank you to everyone who had participated in the second annual YMCA's PWY Indoor Sprint Triathlon on Sunday. We had 22 participants, many first time triathletes who spent 10 minutes swimming in the pool, transition, 30 minutes biking on Spin bikes, transition, 20 minute run/walk on the treadmill. Proceeds benefit the Y's Partners with Youth scholarship program.

Adult Coed and Women's Volleyball League

Adult coed and women's volleyball league has started with coed league on Tuesday evenings and women on Thursday evenings. This means the YMCA gym is closed from 5:30-9 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Class reservations due 4 days before sessions begin. $25/members; $55/non-members

Saturday Sessions:

Master Swim Sessions

Join us Monday nights from 8-9 p.m. (overlap with rec swim from 8-8:30 p.m.) with other older swimmers - 18 and over. You will be provided with a workout or just swim at your own pace. No registration or fees. Just must be a YMCA member or pay a day pass. Enjoy the fun and the camaraderie of being around others who enjoy swimming or are training for upcoming events. 

    2019 YMCA Rookie Sports 

    Skill-Development Program to introduce basics of sports to 3-5 year olds

    Every Wednesday from 5:30-6 p.m. during the school year. Each session is four weeks long (Nov./Dec. combined)

    Each monthly session: $15/members; $25/non-members

    2019 Republican River Fitness Series: Shamrock Shuffle, Saturday, March 23 

    The 2019 Republican River Fitness Series will kick of Saturday, March 23 with the Shamrock Shuffle 5K/10K. Registration is now open and is a great way to start of the series on the right foot...or the left foot.
